Early Serious Mental Illness (ESMI)
First Episode of Psychosis

Through an evidenced based coordinated specialty care model, BEST, LLC offers supportive services to individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis who face disorganized thoughts, struggle with thinking, withdraw from family and friends, or hear/see what others do not. BEST, LLC has trained staff through the ONTRACK NY MODEL of care that can teach the individual and their relatives/supporters how to cope with early mental health symptoms while working towards a rich full life.

Community Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS)

CBRS are professionals working hard to provide a community based program to assist those recovering from a severe and persistent mental illness. Work is done with the individual in their home or the community and can include, but not limited to the following:

* Symptom management

* Coping skills

* Living skills

* Crisis support

* Social skills

* Problem solving skills

* Communication skills

Case Management

Case management is a service offered to assist clients with a mental health diagnosis. Case Managers help with gathering information on resources, linking to and arranging for services in the community, that can assist in the recovery process. The goal is to ensure the individual is receiving the support they need. Skills are taught to help individuals with the following:

* Gain access to services

* Ensure member services are continued

* Maintain stability

* Assist with maintenance or psychiatric care

* Assist with securing transportation

* Community supports

Adult/Youth Peer Support

Our Peer Supports Specialists are individuals who have lived experience with mental illness and provide non-judgmental support to individuals currently experiencing their own mental health crisis. Peer support is provided through listening, mutual learning, respect and hope.

* Recovery is a choice

* Recovery is unique to the individual

* Recovery is a journey, not a destination

* Focusing on strengths allows a person to recognize their potential and make new choices

* Self-directed recovery is possible for everyone

Recovery Coaches

Recovery Coaches are mental health specialists who provide services to encourage, motivate and support goals for recovery. Recovery coaching is a form of strengths-based support for persons with addictions or in recovery from alcohol, drugs, codependency, or other addictive behaviors. Teh roles of a Recovery Coach are:

* Mentor and assist those in recovery

* Become a friend, or someone to rely on

* Motivate and encourage those in need to achieve and retain sobriety

* Provide guidance and assistance through difficult times

* Be a role model to those in recovery

* Promote and demonstrate a sober lifestyle

Sliding Fee Scale Services

BEST, LLC is an official member of the National Health Service Corps (NHSC). This means we are committed to offer services to all individuals. Therapy/Counseling and medication management services can be received whether through accepted insurances or on a sliding fee scale based on household income and family size. Ensuring affordable access to care for all individuals regardless of their financial situation.
